This publication is an alternative travel guide that focuses on large scale images and alternating type placements. The first of the publications I am designing for Bella is a book of Roald Dahl's revolting rhypes which Bella has illustrated through a series of set up photographs. The photography is going to be the main focus on the spreads, this is an example of the placement and organisation of text so that it doesn't distract from the photography.
The second A4 publication is going to Bella's portfolio. We decided that it would be best to produce a publication of her work rather than having it on large boards because in this format it is easy to carry and reflects Bella's interest in fashion photography magazines. This spread is a marker point for me on how to arrange a series of images with a body of text on a double page spread, I do not know what the content of the portfolio will be yet, all I know is that Bella is collaborating with a fashion designer. When I get more information on the content then I can make some more informed decisions about how to proceed with the layout.
